A Fitness Revolution

Shawn Mozen

Across the country Canadian fitness centers are embracing the Agatsu Kettlebell Program. Within the first two months of 2006 several gyms across Canada will have their training staff certified in the Agatsu Kettlebell Program and will begin offering Kettlebell training at their facilities. The Kettlebell revolution is spreading and the reasons are simple.

Kettlebell training can help a wide and diverse range of clients meet their fitness goals. From professional athletes to those looking to shed holiday pounds, Kettlebell programs can be tailor made to suit the goals of your customers.

Unlike traditional weights, Kettlebells generally inspire would be trainees to seek instruction. Due to their unusual shape and the manner in which they are used most people seek private training before they would attempt any workout on their own. As such, the chance of injury with Kettlebell practice is greatly reduced since participants are well educated in safety and form before they begin their training.

Kettlebells are a personal trainer's dream come true. These compact weights can be used to push your clients endurance and functional strength while challenging them with new and innovative exercises. The Agatsu Kettlebell Program emphasizes developing endurance, strength, joint mobility and flexibility concurrently. Your clients will be challenged on many levels and will develop a healthy well balanced body while being challenged both physically and mentally.

In addition to one on one training, Kettlebell practice can be done in a class format. Kettlebell classes offer a unique addition to any fitness center. Group Kettlebell training is unlike any cardio or core strength class currently being offered. Kettlebell swings and presses offer fitness center clients a challenging workout that delivers a toned healthy body. No other class develops core strength, mobility, endurance and strength as efficiently.

In addition to large fitness centers we are working with smaller fitness studios that want to offer their clients the benefits of our unique program. Martial arts and yoga studios are ideal locations for Kettlebell practice. Kettlebells offer the perfect solution to yoga studios that are seeking to offer their clients some form of weight training. Similar to yoga the Agatsu Kettlebell Program requires participants to be actively mentally engaged in their training. Unlike many gym routines that can be performed while watching TV, yoga and kettlebell practice demand that participants focus their attention 100% on the activity at hand. This focus and physical awareness develops kinesthetic awareness, a relaxed mind and a healthy body.

Kettlebells are an ideal choice for martial arts studios or any location where combat athletes train. Martial arts require explosive power, mobility and endurance. Unlike bodybuilding routines, Kettlebell practice actually enhances an athlete's performance. A Kettlebell program at your martial arts studio is a simple and highly effective way of offering your students a weight training class that not only compliments their training but also enhances it.
